Kabali is an upcoming 2016 Indian Tamil-language gangster-drama film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith. The film features Rajinikanth in the titular character, whilst Radhika Apte, Dinesh Ravi, Dhansika and Taiwanese actor Winston Chao feature in other pivotal characters. Principal photography for the film began on 21 August 2015 in Chennai. While filming mostly occurred in Malaysia, smaller scenes were shot in Bangkok and Hong Kong. The film is slated for release in the summer of 2016, along with dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi. The film will also be released in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia in the Malay language. The film set to release in 5000 screens worldwide.
